Agate mortars and pestles mainly used for grinding and pulverizing solid materials in laboratories or industries, suitable for grinding various materials such as pharmaceuticals, reagents, soil, acid-base samples, etc. Pure agate is non-absorbing in an infrared spectrophotometer.

Application

User Instruction during grinding:
 
1. Larger pieces of drugs can be crushed with a pestle first and then ground.
2. The loaded drugs should not exceed 1/3 of the volume of the mortar.
3. When grinding, the pestle head should be pressed on the mortar body, and make a circular motion that starts slowly and then speeds up along the lower part of the mortar. Also, frequently use a medicine spatula to scrape the drugs stuck on the mortar wall and the pestle head into the mortar.
4. The ground drugs should be transferred to the pre - prepared container in time.
5. After use, the mortar and pestle should be cleaned and dried.
6. Flammable and explosive substances cannot be ground. When grinding two substances, generally grind them separately.
